Osprey over Glynde

On Sunday, what sounds to have been an Osprey over Glynde village, seen by several residents. First record of the year for the three parishes.

Grey Wagtails now being seen or heard daily around Firle village centre, and at Place Farm – best spot is the cattle shed viewable from the Old Coach Road as you come out of the village; follow track past farm buildings and past point where the track bends 90 degrees to the left – then view yard on the left.

Several juvenile Green Woodpeckers feeding around the paddocks and school field; Chiffchaff starting to sing again in various places, and Treecreeper singing in Ram/cricket pitch area.
