Summer visitors

A few summer visitors over the last few days… 3 House Martins at their favoured spot on Mill Lane on Good Friday were my first, then yesterday there were four Swallows over Firle village.

In the Park, there are now plenty of Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs around the perimeter, with Grey Herons occasionally flying through to the heronry and the local Buzzards very active.

By the cricket pitch, a Treecreeper has been in song (with two more reported from the plantation). And along the track east from Crossways in Firle last weekend, a Yellowhammer and a Little Owl near the farm buildings.
