Weekend thrushes & rubbish birdfeeders

Recycled birdfeeders in the Grange, Lewes, on Seedy SaturdayThe winter thrushes keep on coming – 240 Redwings and Fieldfares counted by Paul yesterday in the ‘usual’ fields just south of the village centre.

I often hear them over the centre of the village, but you’d never know there were so many so close by.

The previous day, volunteers with the RSPB were busy helping kids make recycled birdfeeders in Southover Grange at Lewes, as part of Seedy Saturday. Great idea, and some of them were quite ingenious.
