On Sunday afternoon, a couple of Little Owls showed at Place Farm in the dying light.
Today, flocks of five and 10 alba wagtails in the paddocks around Place Farm, with more overhead.
Groups of around 50 and 18 Canada Geese flew west towards the Ouse.

Back up to the Plantation again this morning, and one or more Marsh Tits again in evidence, this time with a mixed flock of LT, Blue and Great Tits and perhaps 10 Chiffchaffs, in scrub just to the east of the woodland.

Spotted again

A Spotted Flycatcher seen by Paul S yesterday, on a roof and surrounding garden in the middle of The Street.
After the one heard singing in the churchyard last week, it bodes well for the prospects of a pair or two settling in the village to breed this year.

On Thursday morning, the first familiar squeaks from a Spotted Flycatcher, singing somewhere around in the mature trees near the back of the churchyard in Firle, but refusing to show itself.
