Belated news – a very windy early morning walk last Thursday at Bo Peep confirmed that Bramblings are still present in the coombe south of the car park. Although none were seen, at least a couple of birds were heard flying around the gorse, with plenty of Chaffinches and a few Linnets present too.

A report today on the Sussex Birds Yahoo Group of at least eight Bramblings in a large mixed flock of Chaffinches, Greenfinches, Goldfinches and Yellowhammers near Bo Peep today.
The flock is apparently present in ‘game cover and adjacent bushes’ about half a mile SW of Bo Peep car park, along the footpath to Denton.

Two Snow Buntings reported today between Bopeep and Firle Beacon a few hundred metres east of the Bopeep car park (per SOS website – learn to read, Charlie.)
