An unusual experience at 6.50pm this evening – six or seven largish bats hunting above the cars on the A27, on the stretch between Middle Farm and the main turning to Firle.
They were all in the ‘corridor’ created where there are trees on either side of the road.

Storks still around?

A report on the SOS site suggesting that yesterday’s pair of White Storks are still around,
flying over the A27 betwen Beddingham and Glynde about 100 metres in the air. They were flying into the wind which was stong and south westerly.

A consolation while stuck in traffic on the A27 in the summer is noticing Pyramidal Orchids beside the road.
